Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

Using Lattice

Lattice is a workspace for finding papers, organizing evidence and drafting research. By creating an account you agree to these terms. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you're responsible for what happens under your account.

AI output is a draft, not an authority

Summaries, drafts, checks and extractions are generated by an AI model and can be wrong or incomplete. They don't replace reading the sources or your own judgment. You are responsible for checking anything you rely on or submit, including citations, clinical statements and journal requirements. Lattice isn't medical advice.

Patient data

Never enter identifiable patient information. The chart data tool is only for text you have already de-identified, and you must have the right to use that data for research. Our scan for identifiers is a safety net and can miss things, so removing identifiers is your responsibility. We may remove content that appears to contain personal data.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you write and upload. You give us permission to store it and process it, including sending it to our AI provider, only to run the features you use. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to use.

Plans, payments and limits

Lattice is free during early access. Paid plans are planned, each with a monthly number of AI actions, and extra actions will be available separately. Prices are still to be decided, and we'll show you the price before you pay. AI features also have usage limits to keep the service fair and to prevent abuse.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break or overload it, to get around limits, to access other people's data, or to produce fraudulent research. We can suspend accounts that do.

Availability and liability

Lattice is provided as is. We work to keep it running but don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and to the extent the law allows we aren't liable for indirect losses, lost work or decisions made from AI output. Keep your own copies of important work.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we make a significant change we'll tell you in the app. Using Lattice after a change means you accept it.
